Next week, Apple might release the next iPhone. Not the iPhone 17, but the eagerly anticipated iPhone SE. Coming three years after its last update, this will be the fourth generation of the "Special Edition" iPhone. Typically the least expensive model in the lineup, it is rumored to retail for about $499, which, if accurate, would represent a minor price increase over the 2022 model's MSRP of $429.
This iPhone SE may not look like its predecessor and will be a larger phone, therefore the price may be justified. It is said to have a 6.1-inch screen, which is a significant improvement above the 4.7-inch screen, OLED, Face ID, and the formal removal of the Home button with Touch ID built in. For all of your contemporary charging requirements, USB-C and MagSafe are also anticipated to be included.
It will probably be powered by Apple's A18 chipset, which is the same as the iPhone 16, if its predecessor is any indication. This indicates that the gadget will have access to Apple Intelligence. There won't be a way to use Apple's Visual Intelligence function, which allows you to point the iPhone camera at items and have Siri provide context, though, as the new Camera Control button that debuted on the iPhone 16 isn't anticipated here.
According to a Bloomberg story, the iPhone SE was supposed to launch this past week. However, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple has now postponed the release until next week. This appears to have been verified by Apple CEO Tim Cook on X, who stated that a new product will be launched on Wednesday, February 19.
